If you spend time watching videos on Facebook, you might have seen one you enjoyed but forgot the name. Perhaps you’d like to see that video again so you can share it with a friend?

As we all know, things get buried fast in the Facebook news feed and social media in general. New videos become old videos in a matter of minutes.

In this simple tutorial, I’ll walk you through how to watch recently watched videos on Facebook.

I’ll cover how to find the Facebook video history on the Facebook desktop version and the Facebook app for your mobile phone.

Also, discover how to see who viewed your Facebook videos.

How To Find Recently Watched Videos On Facebook Desktop

Luckily, it’s not hard to find recently watched videos on Facebook. If you were scrolling down your Facebook timeline and found an interesting video, all won’t be lost if you forgot who made it. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Open Facebook in a web browser on your PC/Mac
  2. Go to your Facebook profile
  3. Click the three horizontal dots icon (the menu icon on the right side of the screen under your profile picture).
  4. Click on Activity Log in the drop-down menu.
  5. Click on Videos you’ve watched on the Activity Log page. You’ll see a list of all the Facebook videos in reversed chronological order.
  6. Click on a video to watch it again.

How To Find Recently Watched Videos On Facebook App for mobile

Finding the Facebook watch video history on a mobile device such as an Android or iPhone is equally simple. Just follow the below steps:

  1. Open the Facebook app
  2. Tap on your profile picture to view your Facebook profile
  3. Tap the three dots under your profile name to open your Facebook account settings
  4. Tap Activity log
  5. Swipe the horizontal line at the top until you see Videos watched
  6. Tap Videos watched to see the history of videos

Unfortunately, you can’t simply click on the video to watch it again. I really don’t understand why Facebook hasn’t added this feature.

So if you want to watch a video again on mobile, you need to log in to Facebook via the mobile browser and follow the steps for the desktop site.

How to delete videos from the Facebook watch history

You can delete the entire watched video history by clicking Clear Video Watch History.

If you only want to delete a specific video from Facebook video watch history, you can press the three little dots next to a video and then click the delete button.

How to save videos on Facebook to easily rewatch them later

If you find an important video, it’s possible to save it, similar to what you can do with other Facebook posts.

The fastest way is to just click the three little dots next to the video and then choose Save video. This will add the video to your saved items list.

Choose a collection or create a new one, and click Done.

You can also do this from your watched videos history. Go to your activity log and navigate to Videos watched as mentioned above. Then click on a video to open it. From here, click the three little dots and choose Save video.

How to see your saved Facebook videos

If you want to see video content you’ve saved on Facebook, there’s an easy way to do that…

  1. Navigate to the Facebook Activity Log as mentioned above
  2. Click on Interactions (in the left sidebar)
  3. From the menu that unfolds, click on Saved
  4. Scroll through the list of saved posts and find the video
  5. Click on the video to view it again

I find this is the best way to access your saved videos again.

In Closing

Facebook has become one of the most popular social media platforms regarding video content.

From short clips with pets to music videos, commercials, and live videos, the Facebook community is still thriving with video content despite massive competition from other video-based platforms such as TikTok and YouTube and video streaming services such as Twitch.

But things get buried fast on such a big social media platform. And Facebook users know that this is especially true for the Facebook feed.

And if you’ve tried to use the search bar to find a saved video, you probably know that it doesn’t always show the video again.

Also, if you can’t remember the exact name of the video, it’s a real challenge to find a specific video from a specific date again.

So I decided to create this short guide on how to rediscover the entire list of videos you’ve watched on Facebook. I’ve found that the quicker way is to use the activity log in your personal Facebook interface.

But the stupid thing is, you can simply click on a video from your video history watch list in the mobile app. You can only see the history. If you want to click it and watch it again on the phone, you must log in to the desktop site via the mobile browser.
