What this school is known for

FAMU’s “golden period” in the 1960s produced the Czech New Wave, including Miloš Forman (who won two Oscars: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Amadeus). The school trained some of cinema’s most innovative directors. Founded in 1946.

Teaching approach

English speakers wanting a world-class film education without huge debt. Strong artistic tradition and small mentoring. Prague is beautiful and very affordable. Especially good if you can’t speak German.
